Those high-elevation AVAs absolutely SLAYED in 2021, where a long growing season was made even longer — granting the sort of complexity and overwhelming need to revisit like watching a Christopher Nolan flick. Cedar, and crushed strawberries, with blackberry coulis, smoldering sage, with plums, and flecks of graphite…she’s a beaut, Clark! Big, bad, and ready to impress anytime over the next two decades.

94 POINTS! One inky, beastly, dusty-n-trusty Rutherford Cabernet…chock-a-block with camphor, and violets, black cherries, milk-chocolate truffles, and oodles of blackberries. This is CRAZY generous for the vintage, but those dusty tannins come out in the finish — so drink some now AND lay some down for the years to come…just make sure you have enough to last!!!
